Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to BaoCar (the “Website”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“Customer”) and BaoCar (“Company”). By accessing or using our Website or services, you agree to comply with these Terms.

2. Scope of Services

BaoCar acts solely as a booking platform that connects Customers with licensed taxi drivers and private hire operators (“Drivers”). BaoCar does not provide transportation services and is not responsible for the conduct, performance, or actions of Drivers.

3. Booking and Payment Terms

All bookings must be made at least 12 hours in advance. Full payment is required to confirm a reservation. Once payment is received, a receipt will be issued, and the booking will be confirmed when a Driver accepts the assignment.

Refunds for unsuccessful or unfulfilled bookings are processed within 14 business days. Processing times may vary depending on banks or payment providers.

Two booking types are available:

1. Guaranteed Price Orders: A fixed fare based on the optimal route. Route changes during the trip may not be permitted.

2. On‑Demand Service: Pricing varies based on demand and is confirmed at the time of booking.

For airport pickups, five (5) hours of free waiting time is included. Additional waiting time is charged at £20 per hour.

4. Authorization and Liability

Drivers authorize BaoCar to manage schedules, accept bookings, and collect payments on their behalf. However, BaoCar is not liable for any loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience arising from the actions or omissions of Drivers.

5. Insurance and Tax Responsibilities

Drivers are responsible for maintaining valid insurance, licensing, and compliance with all applicable laws. BaoCar is not responsible for any tax obligations of Customers or Drivers.

6. Driver Status and Employment Classification

Drivers are independent contractors. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of BaoCar. Drivers are solely responsible for their own tax filings, insurance, and legal compliance.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BaoCar from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from your use of the Website or services, including misuse or violation of these Terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

BaoCar shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of income or profits, arising from your use of the Website or transportation services.

9. User Conduct

Customers and Drivers must behave professionally and safely at all times. Off‑platform arrangements or private bookings made outside BaoCar are strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension or legal action.

10. Data Protection

BaoCar complies with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws. Personal data is processed securely and only for legitimate business purposes. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.

11. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality

All content, branding, and intellectual property on the Website belong to BaoCar. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited. Confidential information shared with BaoCar must not be disclosed without written consent.

12. Amendments

BaoCar may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the Website. Continued use of the Website after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
